This dish is from the formerly princely state of Hyderabad in South India. While a meat eaters haven, it is said that one time, the kings (Nawabs as they r called) wanted to eat vegetarian but wanted it flavourful. That is how the salan curry was born.


Green Pepper Salan: Mild green peppers cooked in a tangy peanut/seaseme seed gravy. The addition of tamarind gives this dish a nice sour/tangy note!



Green Pepper Salan with Plain Pulao

  • Ingredients (Green Pepper Salan)

    Green Peppers, peanuts, cashewnuts, Sesame Seeds, onions, almonds, assorted spice mix, tamarind, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, fresh coriander, salt.

    Ingredients (Plain Pulao)

    Basmati Rice, assorted ground spices, ginger, garlic, coriander, salt, lime juice, cumin seeds, green chillies.

    Quantity: approx. 240ml - 250ml

    Produced in Nyon.

    Store refrigerated below 4C.

    Best before: 2 days from day of purcharse.

    Due to the current exceptional pandemic situation, we will only do contactless deliveries. Our drivers will leave your packs outside your door or in your letter box. Customers will bear the responsibility of retrieving the packs and to ensure subsequent storage/cold chain.
